Money Saving Tips - June 2022

Image
Welcome back everyone!  I am here today with another instalment of my practical money saving tips and advice to hopefully help you all save some pennies at a time that seems like it is affecting everyone. Please do let me know if any of these have helped you if you try them or if you do them already. Please also feel free to use the comments section as a place to speak to each other and share your own money saving ideas.  1. Use the reward systems that are already in place within the things you already pay for!  This tip is something that in the past I have been so totally shit at, it wasn't until very recently that I even joined up to 02's airtime rewards and I have been with them for years. This is the perfect example where each month I pay my phone bill and never save any money, this reward however gives me the opportunity to now save money on my phone bill just by shopping at the places I already do. I buy things in places like Boots as an example and o2 have hundreds...

The New Found Potager

Happy Tuesday  Everyone and welcome to my garden.  Today I wanted to create a post for you to share one of the little luxuries in life that I now enjoy the most, my garden! If you'd have told me a year ago that I would have been writing that I probably would have never believed you and maybe laughed a little. I have always been the kind of person in previous years to say "stick some faux grass down and keep the garden paved and plain, the less fuss the better".  That however was in my old house where my garden was the size on a postage stamp and I felt really uninspired. If I am being truly honest and reflecting inwards the garden space in my old house could have been really beautiful and I could have created one of those awe inspiring tiny gardens but that was a house I had from a past relationship that I was desperately trying to leave and I invested very little time and energy into it as it was a place I was desperate to escape and so I treated it as such, poor ...

Today's post is a request from a few of your that read my budgeting  post and wanted some money saving tips that I feel work and that I use. I will try to make this a monthly post going forward if it is something that you enjoy and find helpful.  1. Create A Budget & Stick To It This one will be obvious to any of you that read my most recent budgeting post so I will keep this short and sweet but the first step in saving money is to know where your money is going. If you want to use my budgeting spreadsheet you can find it on this post by clicking  here. 2. Check Your Bank Account Often I personally don't know anyone that doesn't have instant online banking and ...

Budgeting Tips - My Financial Self Care

My Budget Spreadsheet    Click the above link to make a copy for yourself! 1. Have A Budget!   I feel like we have all been in the position at one point in our lives  where  we have looked at our bank account and thought, 'where has all of my money gone?' or had the feeling you get on payday, where you see your money coming into your account and then leaving just as fast and this can feel very overwhelming, especially if you don't have a clear idea of where your money going or when it is going to be going.  In order to combat this feeling I have taken inspiration from lots of different budget trackers over time and created my own simple version that I can control and amend as I wish. This budget tracker allows me to list and categorise all of my earnings, my outgoings and my savings so I  have a clear picture of what is happening with my money. There is also a section on my budget track...

Podcasts For Motivation - February 2022

My Favourite Podcasts - February 2022 I hope that you have all had a great start to February so far. I want to take a moment quickly today to say a big thank you to those of you that have supported me  in any way starting this blog. I feel like this is the start of a great journey for me but I will be really honest in saying that it felt very daunting to start this blog in the first place after not writing a blog for so long. I do hope that if any of you have been considering doing something similar or just starting something new in your life that you are personally passionate about that this gives you the motivation to know that you can do anything you put your mind to, it may feel scary and it may take a long time to take that leap of faith but this is your reminder that if you want something, go and get it. One of the things that I want to achieve with this blog is to continually bring you content that is going to be valuable, motivational, supportive and also realistic. I...
