Podcasts For Motivation - February 2022

My Favourite Podcasts - February 2022

I hope that you have all had a great start to February so far. I want to take a moment quickly today to say a big thank you to those of you that have supported me in any way starting this blog. I feel like this is the start of a great journey for me but I will be really honest in saying that it felt very daunting to start this blog in the first place after not writing a blog for so long. I do hope that if any of you have been considering doing something similar or just starting something new in your life that you are personally passionate about that this gives you the motivation to know that you can do anything you put your mind to, it may feel scary and it may take a long time to take that leap of faith but this is your reminder that if you want something, go and get it.

One of the things that I want to achieve with this blog is to continually bring you content that is going to be valuable, motivational, supportive and also realistic. I personally love to consume content that will help me grow and learn new things and equally I love to consume content that is relatable like knowing where people got the items in their latest outfit or life hacks. What I am trying to say, in a nutshell, is that this site will be an all encompassing place of valuable resources, motivation for you all and equally easy escapism reading.

Today's blog post is going to be a monthly feature here on my little online space where I will share with you my top three podcasts I am loving to listen to.
Anyone that knows me well will be able to tell you how much I love listening to podcasts, I do it every day in my car on the way home from dropping my daughter to school and at the gym. Podcasts are one of the main tools that I use for self development and also just in the times where I feel like I am lacking motivation and need a good kick up the arse.

With this being my first ever share of my three favourite podcasts monthly, I wanted to give you an insight into where I go to for motivation and also advise for personal growth. As an individual I have always been very driven but I have previously found it hard when reading some self help or personal development books to relate to the people and what they are talking about. This is either because in some cases they are just about a situation that I find difficult to relate to my own life or in some cases, well, they have been a bit boring and so instead I found my own inspiration.

I truly feel that these podcasts and people will have a profound impact on many of you and so I hope you love them as much as I do.

Why I love it!
Lauryn and Michael are the husband and wife duo who quite honestly always tell it exactly how it is.
This is the podcast I always go to for real talk and also to listen to experiences of people through many different lenses. Their podcast is focused on sharing tips for wellness, business, beauty and lifestyle and they do this by sharing their own experiences and  also by interviewing a very vast range of different people ranging from new mums, beauty gurus, business leaders, celebrities, people from the wellness community and a whole lot more. I discovered this podcast during the first lockdown here in the UK back in April 2020 and listening to their show has become a part of my weekly routine ever since. I find Lauryn and Michael very relatable as parents of a young daughter but also just as people who have a high drive and focus to be successful and happy on their own terms and who strive to curate a life that is the best possible for them and their family.

Why I love it!
For those of you that know me personally you will know that my full time job is in a leadership role and I am always looking to develop to be the best version of myself possible for those that I work with but also for my family and for myself. The Ed Mylett show is where I go as my number one place if I feel like I need a new perspective. I listen to this show to see what practical steps I can learn and implement into my life that will help me to be the happiest and most successful version of myself in my work and personal life. This podcast has also given me a lot of confidence to share my experiences and help others in my life to grow from those or to give another perspective when finding themselves in situations they may have never been in before and to ultimately stop doubting myself and make my voice heard.
This show gives an insight into the world of industy leaders in their fields and peak performers across a multitude of different professions whilst also being and feeling very humbling and down to earth.

Why I love it!
If you haven't heard of Tony Robbins I would be truly gobsmacked and so I know there is a very slim chance but I had to include this here for that small group of you. Tony Robbins is as world renowned business strategist who has helped over 50 million people change their lives and I am happy and proud to say I am one of those people. Tony is truly inspirational and sends the message to all about the importance of leading and living and extraordinary life. some of you may read what I have just said and think well I don't work in business or do much work in statergising or you think that maybe that this podcast won't apply to you. If you think that then I would encourage you even more to listen, as this podcast goes everywhere and will help you implement helpful habits and routines into your life that will change the way you think and help to propel you success, whatever that may look like for you.
Tony dives into health, wellbeing, business and so much more alongside a diverse range of interviews with people who have great stories and advice to share.
